Thursday: music, coffee and stars at 10:55 AM Yay! i think I'm having the bet morning ever. My lovely mama friend is here visiting from Seattle and of course she brought us some amazing NW coffee from lighthouse AND if found out (thanks for my Google analytic) last night that my blog got a little love on city weekly. So since my lovely friend is here i have quite a few things planned to make her time her amazing. Today we have a reservation at the Vintage restaurant and tea room . My last experience there on a mama date was incredible and i think I'm going to have to go there every week from now on. After our tea date we will take a stroll downtown to visit my favorite shops: Urban chic, Ume boutique, Queen bee, Harvest bread and Cherry blossoms! Tonight i think we will be either going to Mojos, Grounds for spring music or staying home and eating tasty things. Oh decisions! So here are today's events Explore, create and have fun! Thursday- spring music, punk bars and BFF's at 11:06 AM Today is one of those days that i just want to laze about watching he-man with my daughter and eating pie. After working my butt off writing, blogging, over volunteering and being a full time mama to a rambunctious toddler who knows how to destroy a house in 3.2 seconds... I think i deserve a little down time. But tonight i plan on heading over to Mojos ( weather permitting, hay it is my "day off" after all!) and dancing like a Muppet with the huntress (said rambunctious toddler). Thursday- donuts in the sun. at 2:08 PM This Thursday is like no other its going to be amazing! The sky is clear, the sun is shining, I'm wearing my my Diane Von Ferstenberg score from urban chic and eating donuts (from toppers) in the park. Life really couldn't get any better, OK if i a computer of my own stumbled into my lap i think it could improve my day just a little. Today i biked over to the hubby's work to hijack his computer and let the bean tour his job. she has been begging me to take her and its finally warm enough to let her visit this frigging warehouse. She loved bikes and hearing her squeal with joy and she enters a building filled with nothing but bike parts is priceless. oh the wonders of being three. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women's Day is a national holiday. I am a bit disappointed to say that i have not found a single event happening here in Ogden. Thursday- swoon worthy at 9:00 AMI am literally dancing for joy this glorious morning because i am going to get my hair done by the lovely Alison Compton at salon nouveau. I need a change and my hair is beginning to bore me. Since i have been falling in love all over again with Rilo Kiley decided to get a Jenny Lewis inspired do. To top it all off my sweetie surprised me with a mini shopping spree at modcloth.com. SWOON! They are having their annual cabin fever sale and a ton of amazing things are 75%off. Buy local tuesday at 9:37 AM Hurray we all survived valentines day. I spent my day with my daughter making a billion construction paper hearts and running around the yard chasing each other around. When my sweetie came home we made pizza from scratch and sipped on organic soda and giggled over candy hearts in Spanish- why is there a que' paso heart? lol. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family and they keep me going strong. OK no more mushy gushy lets get on to the good stuff. Ogden on the rise at 9:21 AM My daughter is a brave little girl. Yesterday we had the great pleasure of going to a dental appointment and i had nagging feeling it was not going to go well but i was wrong. Thanks to the dentists and assistants my daughter wasnt scared in the least in fact i think she liked it. Unfortunately we do have to go back and get a couple teeth capped a couple are chipped thanks to her love of running full speed at hard objects and jumping off high places and she may have an enamel deficiency. But soon it'll all be over with and my bean can go on jumping off things without pain...OK maybe with a mouth guard. Also some exciting news! On Thursday i shall nap at 8:25 AM I am so exhausted today. I stayed up late thanks to an eventing cup of coffee (why did i do that?) and just when my deepest sleep kicked in, in the middle of an awesome dream about a dragon, i woke up to my daughter peeing on me. sigh... I love her to pieces, she is my baby, but seriously did you have to pee on me? She had woken up earlier crying that she had a bad dream and i was too tired to try and put her back to bed so i just let her crawl into my bed. Curse my laziness! I payed for it big time by being flooded out of quite possibly the most epic dream ever by a river of pee.Of course she slept through it all not even flinching when i tossed her back onto her own bed. Thank goodness for mattress savers and that brilliant suggestion from by dad to buy a steam cleaner. I tried desperately to get back to bed but just huffed and puffed and tossed and turned and finally turned on cartoons. On the upside i was awake enough to make egg bagel sandwiches with fresh made pesto (extra from last nights dinner) , smoked salmon (from my sister in Alaska) and cream cheese (um from... smiths). givaway sponsors part 3 at 10:27 AMMy staycation is over, my bestie has flown back to Cali and it time to get back into the regular daily grind. I miss her already but our time together was awesome. Last night was her final night and we spent it adventuring in the blizzard to eat cupcakes and tacos with my daughter , dancing at Mojos and trying some new drinks at kamikazes.
