![]() My staycation is over, my bestie has flown back to Cali and it time to get back into the regular daily grind. I miss her already but our time together was awesome. Last night was her final night and we spent it adventuring in the blizzard to eat cupcakes and tacos with my daughter , dancing at Mojos and trying some new drinks at kamikazes. Wearing heels in the snow is no easy feat but it definitely gave us some hilarious memories to look back on. ![]() ![]() Mojos is such an amazing space and resource for the Ogden community. If you haven't been there yet PLEASE go now! I'm so excited about the indie Ogden giveaway and the amazing businesses that have volunteered to be a part of it. It's seriously magical and if you haven't entered yet, what are you waiting for? Our last 2 sponsors are a couple of my favorite places to eat and get coffee in Ogden. First up is Ground for coffee on historic 25Th. This place has a yoga studio, comfy chairs and cute local art. The ladies that were working that day were so sweet and nice that i didn't want to leave. The convenient to me location on Harrison has a large sitting area and a cozy couch area with lots of books and outdoor seating. Both locations are run by uber cool moms which is incredibly awesome. Grounds for coffee is a local franchise, giving locals the opportunity to own their own business. They have been around since 1991 and are super involved locally and like to encourage patrons to support local businesses. The coffee is excellent and they have yummy snacks too, i love their parfaits. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last but certainly not least is Rovalis. Rovali's Ristorante Italiano is a family owned and operated restaurant established in December 2006. This place has the best mozzarella sticks and ravioli and they also sell pasta dinner supplies. Recently i bought their pasta and it was incredible, the pasta was giant and full of flavor. They have great weekly specials and you can often catch a great giveaway on their facebook. ![]() ![]() Labels: events, giveaway, grounds for coffee, indie ogden, kamikazes, mojos, ogden utah, rovalis xoxo, explore, create and have fun ‹Older Saturday, December 25, 2010

Total value of this package is over $165. ![]() Alison has have been a Utah Cosmetologist since December of 2003, but her love for styling hair started when she was just a little girl. Every doll and every Barbie she owned was given a haircut, and as she grew she would practice styling on my cousin and all of her friends. So much, that they often got very bored with her always wanting to play with their hair! Color is definitely her most favorite service because it provides instant change in a subtle way, or as dramatic as you'd like. Big changes can happen with color in just 35 minutes! Her strength behind the chair would have to be communication and having the ability to gain a feel for what people are really asking for. This approach helps her to be able to guarantee all services she provides. Shes love styling hair at Salon Nouveau on Historic 25Th Street in Ogden, because of the sense of community the salon and the whole street has to offer. Everyone supports each others businesses, and the girls at the salon have become her second family. Her major goal for 2011, would be to continue her education with the art of hairstyling. Second grand prize is a Photo shoot of your choice by Rachael of fotograffiti. Use this prize to take family portraits, engagement photos, children's portraits or anything else you can think of. package values at over $75.00 ![]() Rachael Blackman collins is a mother of our boys, a photographer and organizer of the Starr foundation. Sponsorship can be in the form of monetary funding OR volunteering to come and play games/talk/spend time with their resident. She is always on the lookout or volunteers and sponsorships so if your interested email her at lifeasrach@gmail.com. Not long after formation, FITS was signed to Matchless Records and released their Self Titled EP in November of that same year. Ever since that release, FITS has been touring relentlessly all over the United States building not only a loyal fan base, which they pride themselves on being closely connected with, but also solidifying a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in metalcore today. Breaux- http://www.myspace.com/breauxrock The band is, simply put, dirty southern party metal. With their catchy riffs, classic solos and epic songs, this Salt Lake City, Utah-based band brings the fun back into the metal scene. Their goofy stage antics and high-energy live show have energized even the most dead of concerts in genres varying from metal to hardcore to light rock. and the five finalists from the Battle For Metal Supremacy. And for those non metal heads there is the much anticipated Scott Bennett 'The AMBASSADOR of LOVE" show at wiseguy comedy club. Scott started doing open mics in Las Vegas in 1996. When he moved back to Utah in 1997 because of a divorce he was lucky enough to hook up with a club called Laughs which is now Wiseguys where they gave him a lot of stage time. Before he knew it, he was working on the road as a feature and three years later as a headliner. Scott is a regular at the Improv in Hollywood, and plays the Loony Bins, Funny Bones, Wiseguys, etc. Scott's also done a few TV commercials and bit parts in movies. Scott was the Winner of the Rocky Mountain Laugh Off and has appeared on Blind Date and 'E's Talk Soup. So get out there, dress for the snow and have some fun.
