 Thursday: dance parties, open mic and a good cause at 10:02 AM Yesterday sure was a busy day! I got to meet some rad locals at the Ogden Tweetup and eat 2 for 1 tacos. Afterwards i stopped by trudy's poppin' johnny's for some of their amazing ice cream. Later i joined a cooking class on google+ hangout with a chef on the east coast and made an amazing meal for my family and the rad little one i was babysitting. Finally i got to head out and hang out with my ladies, make some new friends and sing embarrassingly out of tune. Yeah, it was a good day. Tuesday in Ogden: Indie Ogden's guide to fun! at 12:00 AM Yesterday i went and saw Dr.Jim Ellis and i have to day as soon as i sat in the chair i felt at ease. As someone who has some high anxiety about dentistry i was surprised at how calm i felt. I get my teeth out August 11th and actually am excited. If you need any work done i highly recommend this guy!Today is Tuesday and now that all of the holiday excitement is over we can get back to our regular programing but don't think i am retiring my cowgirl boots these babies are working overtime. Thursday: Adventures in radio, karaoke and angry birds at 10:48 AM Its Thursday and boy did i have some strange dreams last night. I have been reading a lot of sci-fi novels lately and i think they have finally infiltrated my dream land. It was pretty epic and i have to say, i am a lot more fit in my dreams which kinda makes me want to start working out. Has anyone tried the Beyonce "move your body" workout? It is hilarious fun!Also i still can not get over how angry that bird looks, then again i would be too if i almost ogt eaten by a cat.Anyway, Later today at 3PM i will be going on the radio, from now on i think it will start being regular dates instead of whenever i remember to go to the station hehe. Today i will be guest hosting the Ogden outdoor adventure show! i love this show for lots of reasons but mostly because A. i am an outdoors junkie and i always learn something new and B. because these guys are hilarious fun to be around. I am bringing a friend with me as my guest. She is a rad mama who is in my "Ogden rad parents" group and she is on of the moms helping to organize the Ogden rock n romp. She also has a cool blog so check it out. The Ogden rock n romp is going to be so much fun and i can hardly wait. It is a show with local bands playing at lower decibels so you can bring the kiddos along too. There will be prizes, a mobile massage, henna, photo booths, cupcakes, a dance party and so much more. Best of all it is a benefit for Nurture the creative mind , a wonderful local organization you should all check out. rad dentists, a bird whisperer and lots of amazing events at 10:42 AM I am trying to find the words to express my joy but all i can come up with is HUZZAH! I was contacted by dentist Jim Ellis (ironically my first choice in Ogden dentists because of his awesome tweets) about working out a good deal for my wisdom teeth removal. Whew! The source of all of my stress and pain recently is finally being released. I don't have to drive to SLC and i don't have to keep saving for eternity. . . well, what seems like eternity. I am excited that Jim Ellis will be my dentist as his rave reviews and genuine love of dentistry have eased my anxieties quite a bit. Id like to take this moment to give a GIANT shout to Uncommon grounds/Cafe mergot, mermaid baby, Jim Hutchins, Amber Loranger, Rachel Olsen, Candice Ortiz, Christine Smith, and the many other people i am undoubtedly forgetting, for your support and love through this frustrating process, i love you all! I think this day is bound to be full of sweet surprises. As i was writing this i was interrupted by a knocking on my window and when i looked out my husband had a bird in his had who apparently narrowly escaped becoming cat food had he not found him in time. Surprisingly the bird sat calmly in his palm for a good 15 minuted before Bryan finally coaxed it back into the tree, to a HIGHER branch. Bryan is like an animal whisperer, all animals (even wild ones) seem to be completely comfortable with him. We will be on hikes and they will just saunter on up as if they know him. Dogs especially seem to love him and even the most vicious ones will turn to butter once he pets them. He really should have been a veterinarian instead of an adrenaline junkie cyclist, but i also cant imagine him not biking every day. Speaking of wild animals we seem to attract, our slimey pet snail "booger" who we though would only live a few days (and who we thought died twice already) apparently can live up to 15 years and grow to an astonishing 2 pounds! looks like we found the perfect pet! He seems quite happy in his new home and moves around quite a bit, they eat a lot more than i thought and since i always have fresh produce around i think he will do just fine. He is quite a hit with the kiddos as well and play dates lately have been an hour of oohing ahhing over 'boogers" home. Well On with the show, here are today's events! Be safe, create, and have fun! Friday: Foodies, Vintage prom and Karaoke! at 9:59 AM It's Friday and today i am buckling down! I have been lazing about lately feeling blah and today that changes. I have some project i want to get done and by golly i WILL be productive today! I am doing a bloggers challenge for the "living on the chic" blog so i have to get crafty and create something awesome out of a potter barn basket liner. Also on the menu for today's productivity: fine tune my recipe for the amazing dish i am making for the the Local first fundraiser at the BEE tomorrow. . . oh and eat Popsicles in the sun , duh. I am also so very excited for today because i recently won a ticket to Vintage prom and i am so so so excited to dress up and be all girly. I am wearing a dress i have worn before because i couldn't afford a new dress , i was kinda bummed about it at first but then i got crafty. I am updating the dress with accessories and a couple alterations and now it looks brand new . Any dress can be made new with a few crafty changes.
