is that Newgate Mall? It looks familiar. If so, I use to have to wait for my mom and sister while they would shop in this store.

Monday: art films, nature and beautiful music at 7:15 PM

What an amazing weekend it was. Saturday i put on my prettiest dress and my giant hat and went out on an adventure in the desert with some good friends. We explored abandoned places, got a flat tire, took silly photos, got a bit dehydrated and sunburned and of course got a little target practice in. It was nice to get away for a minute and forget about everything i am obligated to do. sometimes we need little getaways , even if it is just a few hours.
I am excited to announce that the new website will be launching on the first. We hit a couple bumps at first but no one is stopping us now and we are all so very excited. I think this first week with the new indie Ogden team has been fantastic and i cant wait to see what the future holds. From here we can only go up right?

Wednesday:karaoke , mayoral debates and wild things at 12:04 AM

Oh boy was the rock n romp fun! I was swamped yesterday with work, errands, prepping for the big party and filming a mini video with Jenny Hansen but it in the end it was all worth seeing a huge crowd of kids get down to some local music! Friday: Mustard, art and toys at 10:35 PM

I had a fun time as usual hanging out on the Ogden outdoor adventure show. I am so excited it is the weekend again and it is now less than a week away from getting WISDOM TEETH OUT! Don't forget that if you make an appointment with Dr.Jim Ellis he will donate $100 to a local charity of my choosing. hmmm...so many choices so send me your suggestions!

Also a little known interesting factoid, today is national mustard day! I have no less than 6 different types of mustard in my fridge on any given day...sweet, spicy, regular, weird i have it all. I think tomorrow i will try and make a mustard glaze for some salmon. Lucky me my older sister lives in Alaska and likes to send me packages full of amazing fresh Alaska seafood. seriously, best sister ever.

On another less exciting note i am still job hunting and i have come to a point where in order to keep from feeling completely worthless i have decided to channel my energy into something a bit different. I am going to start getting creative and i think i may be filming a little resume for a company i am dying to work for. If it doesn't work at least i had fun right? And if you are a local business that needs a hard workin' gal like me then shoot em an email at indieogden@gmail.com.

Thursday : adventures in radio, Karaoke and Indie Films! at 9:15 AM

Woot! its Radio day! I absolutely love going on the radio and have thoroughly enjoying being a guest on the weekend show and the outdoor adventure show. Today i am Guest hosting the Ogden adventure show today and it is going to kick butt! A local cyclist, a Rep from the World Archery Championships, Gear Junkie calling in live from the Outdoor Retailer, and their new Co-Host Hannah will all be in studio! Plus you can win a pair of tickets to see bearfoot at the nature center tonight so tune in ONLINE or on the radio at 88.1 FM!

I am going to need some extra strong coffee to keep up with this show, it probably doesn't help that i stayed up waaaay too late playing Fallout new Vegas. I have to admit to you dear readers that i am addicted to fallout. I played Fallout 3 religiously until i got every achievement on every level and then i stopped playing for an entire year. But, when a friend offered to let me borrow new Vegas and i stayed up wide eyed playing it, it was clear that i had not overcome my addiction. But its OK, i am really really good at it and i can rationalize my Fallout addiction by pretending its helping me with my survival instincts. Luckily i am not allowed to play when the girl child is awake because she dances in front of the TV the entire time.

Anyway! Its a beautiful day so get out there and enjoy the fresh mountain air!

Wednesday: biking to work and playing in the sun at 10:48 AM

Today is a beautiful day out and i am feeling so much better since my sweetie brought me home chocolate last night. Sometimes all i need are some sweets to get me back to feeling like myself. I am having a wonderful morning so far having just biked the 5 miles to my husbands work with him, our daughter and our dog. Of course we stopped my Toppers to get some amazing giant donuts ( 6 for 2 bucks heck yeah!!) before cutting across the Ogden river parkway to take the scenic route to the business depot. I do love family bike rides and the couple quick rains cooled us off nicely too.
I think that all businesses should bring back the "bring your daughter/son to work" days. It is so important for our children to see what we do for a living, how we work and what it is to have responsibility. It also created a bond between parent and child and helps them to better understand their parent and what they do to support their family. Plus its lots of fun and unless you work in a hazardous environment it can be fun to see your kid try and do your job.
As many of you may know Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. there are always a million events happening to satisfy you until the weekend, so get to gettin'!

wednesdasy..it's better than a tuesday! at 10:09 AM

yesterday! oh yesterday how you betrayed me. what started as a beautiful sunny day went sour in an instant. I biked 6 blocks to the grocery store but by the time i got there y wallet was gone. i backtracked a few times hoping i would find it before someone else did but to no avail. i even sent Bryan out to look for it...nothing. I tried to think of all the positives- but really i couldn't find one. As i finally calmed down i noticed that my daughter was being eerily quiet. Any parent of a toddler knows that quiet is NOT good. I peeked into the kitchen and there she was, chopping off her darling curls, a huge pile at her feet. Honestly i didn't have the emotional energy to be upset so i just started laughing hysterically.

OK OK it wasn't the worst day ever. it could have been a lot worse and hay maybe a good Samaritan will return my wallet. Just a few weeks a go a guy dropped his wallet and i returned it to him -with all the cash in it of course. so, doesn't that make me due for a returned wallet? Now here is my question to you readers - IF YOU FOUND A WALLET WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

ahh
well everything is replaceable and i still have my health and friends and it's Wednesday! so here are todays events go on and enjoy em and try not to get blown over, we got winds of 40MPH out there today.
