Monday: art films, nature and beautiful music at 7:15 PM

What an amazing weekend it was. Saturday i put on my prettiest dress and my giant hat and went out on an adventure in the desert with some good friends. We explored abandoned places, got a flat tire, took silly photos, got a bit dehydrated and sunburned and of course got a little target practice in. It was nice to get away for a minute and forget about everything i am obligated to do. sometimes we need little getaways , even if it is just a few hours.
I am excited to announce that the new website will be launching on the first. We hit a couple bumps at first but no one is stopping us now and we are all so very excited. I think this first week with the new indie Ogden team has been fantastic and i cant wait to see what the future holds. From here we can only go up right?

Saturday: farmers market, river fun and karaoke! at 9:25 PM

Its Saturday! Ahh sweet bliss! Time to eat cotton candy in the grass and splash around in the river. I cant wait for farmers markets and bike rides and photo fun with my lovely friend jenny. We will be dressing up in pretty frocks and being completely girly...that is until we get muddy from playing on the parkway.

Savor these moments folks
because winter is just around the corner. Most of you might be excited for snow and cold and wet and did i mention cold? But me? I am snow inept, a snow newb if you will. I get cold easily and the idea of being wet AND cold sounds like some form of ancient torture to me. Perhaps i need an experienced snow dweller to show me how its done, until then i will continue pouting about summer ending.

There is so much to do and don't forget about the amazing indie films playing right here in downtown Ogden!

Friday! The fair, ballet and lots of running. at 5:56 PM

Well my first day of work was a success, i didn't keel over or bawl my eyes out because i missed my babe. It was actually kinda fun and pretty entertaining but it was still work and i have the blisters on my fingers to prove it. I am pretty excited i will be getting a discount on Halloween costumes but not excited that i am officially no longer a stay at home mama...le sigh. No more bike adventures, long days lounging in the park, endless picnics and tea parties. Gone are the days of pippi longstockings cleaning parties and mid day dance parties. I will miss those (almost 4) precious years of fun but alas, all good things must come to an end. ::queue sappy slow motion flashback now::

I think i did a pretty good job at stay at home momdom , 4 out of 5 stars at least ( i did let her eat ice cream for breakfast a few times) . I had a good run and now its time for something new. I am excited about bringing on the new writes for indie Ogden too, now that i am working i will need some extra help. I think you will all really like my new team and i hope you stay tuned in because Indie Ogden is getting super sized !

Thursday: Karaoke, single mingles and mayoral debates at 8:39 PM

Yesterday was so awesome! Tour of Utah was a thrill to watch, much more so than i thought. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her cowbells and made a racket until she fell asleep at night to prove it. The health expo they had was also a blast and there were so many fun free samples (wayfarer sunglasses, stickers, lip gloss, food!!) that i felt like i was some sort of celebrity. The girl child loved the bounce houses , face painting and really neat balloon sculptures with candy inside!

Some of the Ogden rad Parents and i met at Mojos to finalize all the exciting details of the Ogden rock n romp!! It is coming up soon so be sure and check out the rock n romp page on facebook to keep updated. It is going to be very awesome and i can not wait for all the fun to start.

Also today is my first day at my new job! I am excited to be getting OUT of the house for work but also a little bummed i am not getting my teeth out yet. No worries though, soon enough i will be on a liquid diet and watching soaps while mildly delusional from laughing gas.

Have a great day folks! Wish me luck!

Thursday : adventures in radio, Karaoke and Indie Films! at 9:15 AM

Woot! its Radio day! I absolutely love going on the radio and have thoroughly enjoying being a guest on the weekend show and the outdoor adventure show. Today i am Guest hosting the Ogden adventure show today and it is going to kick butt! A local cyclist, a Rep from the World Archery Championships, Gear Junkie calling in live from the Outdoor Retailer, and their new Co-Host Hannah will all be in studio! Plus you can win a pair of tickets to see bearfoot at the nature center tonight so tune in ONLINE or on the radio at 88.1 FM!

I am going to need some extra strong coffee to keep up with this show, it probably doesn't help that i stayed up waaaay too late playing Fallout new Vegas. I have to admit to you dear readers that i am addicted to fallout. I played Fallout 3 religiously until i got every achievement on every level and then i stopped playing for an entire year. But, when a friend offered to let me borrow new Vegas and i stayed up wide eyed playing it, it was clear that i had not overcome my addiction. But its OK, i am really really good at it and i can rationalize my Fallout addiction by pretending its helping me with my survival instincts. Luckily i am not allowed to play when the girl child is awake because she dances in front of the TV the entire time.

Anyway! Its a beautiful day so get out there and enjoy the fresh mountain air!
