It's good to be back at 10:21 AM

Spring is upon us (I hope) and soon we will be content with just laying in the sun. I don't know about you but when it's gloomy out I need to keep busy. Whether it's spring cleaning my house or going to a show I just can not sit still.

Lucky got you it seems Ogden knows how to jeep us busy. With a ton of events and fabulous local stores theres no reason to stay indoors even on a gloomy day like this one.

Tonight why don't you try something new, pick an event you wouldn't normally attend and try it out. Introduce yourself to a stranger or pick something you've never heard if off the menu.

Whenever I'm feeling shy or unsure about something I think of the frank sanatra quote " you only live once but if ya live it like me one will be enough".

Ogden independent film society meetup- meet local film junkies, make a new friend and try some tasty brew at uncommon grounds on historic 25th 6-9pm.

Come learn about natural living at the bees free (donation based) classes. Herbal health, organic gardening, natural dieting and permaculture! 6:39-9:39 at the borrowed earth emporium.

Try out a Spanish film ( with subtitles) at wsu's shepard union theatre. Tonights movie is " que se mueran Los feos" and it's free!

Also remember to enter in the indie Ogden/ Brock abel giveaway by commenting on the facebook page or the giveaway post and liking indie Ogden and brick Abel. You could win a custom photography session including a disc of photos and an 8x10 print!

And if you are a local hair/ makeup artist, photographer, musician, model, style enthusiast or just a Fan and you want to be a part of the indie Ogden/ urban chic fashion show come by the meeting this Thursday at 6pm at urban chic on Washington. Cocktails and vibrate clothes!

One last thing! Indie Ogden has only 2 spots left did sponsorship. $15/month includes a local spotlight feature, visible ad space and regular mentions of your business, do get in it folks because this is your last chance to sponsor!

Last night i Went to the Ogden Tweetup at Rooster. Tweetups are in person meet and greets with your local twitter users. You get to meet the people behind the avatars and network with people you may not have socialized with otherwise. It was pretty fun and there is talk of another one soon.

Their perfect love is tested, and youth, trust, and geography become their biggest enemies
I melt with you On the surface, they look like other men going through life: they have careers and families and responsibilities. But as with many people, there is more to them than meets the eye. No Sleep Till Thursday! at 11:44 PM

Wednesday is a strange phenomenon. There seems to be a million things going on on any given Wednesday.  This week is no exception. there are so many events happening i get a migraine just thinking of which  ones to go to. so take a deep breath get out your planner and celebrate Wednesday right.

Start of your day of fun at the nature center for Wild Wednesdays. Can you walk like a bear?  Get the answers to this question and learn how to identify the amazing autographs that animals leave behind.  Discover why winter is a fantastic time to test your new tracking skills while taking a walk with our naturalist to identify clues in the snow.  Meet in the Visitor's Center. http://www.ogdennaturecenter.org

Christmas is just around the corner and its never too late to make some ornaments. the Eccles Community Art Center is hosting a Victorian potpourri ornament workshop for ages 7 and up. All supplies provided and for only 6 bucks you learn an amazing craft. Please pre-register by calling a member of the art center staff at 801-392-6935. If your interested other classes offered at the Eccles Community Art Center: www.ogden4arts.org

Are you a movie buff , actor,or just want to meet other indie film lovers Join  the 'Independent Film Society' for some fun times getting to know your fellow film junkies in the local scene hear at the Ogden meet at 'Grounds For Coffee', all are welcome! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=140311292655053

I don't know about y'all but i HATE the smell of bleach.  A few years ago, after i had my daughter,  i decided to go all Eco with my cleaning products. I  found some great alternative to those harsh and icky chemical cleaners but sometimes they can get pricey. after doing some research i found that the same ingredients in the Eco products are things i already had around.  Today the Ogden nature center is having an Eco-friendly  cleaning product workshop This will be a fun and productive evening spent making non-toxic cleaning supplies for your home.  Learn some simple recipes for healthier cleaning products using items commonly found in everyone's pantry.  Create household cleaners that will be both easy on the environment and on your wallet. You'll leave with freshly made window cleaner, furniture polish, all purpose cleaner and a host of recipes to create your own green cleaning.

OK if your  wanting to get out and have some fun then enough lallygagging about its time to speed up the pace. head on over to the union station for jingle bell jazz at the station with the WSU jazz ensemble. Due to the closing of WSU on Tuesday because of a blizzard warning, the November 23rd concert by the WSU Jazz Ensemble was canceled. It has been rescheduled as part of the Jazz at the Station programming, Wednesday, December 8th. In addition to holiday tunes, this concert will feature the music of the Big Band era. Some of the pieces will feature vocalist Sarah Marshall. Also featured on the concert will be the WSU Jazz Combo. No music is more evocative of a period of American History than the Big Band sound. The remarkable thing is how it still continues to appeal to audiences of all ages. Expect to hear music by Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington and more, played with the youthful enthusiasm of our fantastic WSU Jazz Ensemble.Jazz at the Station provides an all-ages venue for jazz fans and students. Well behaved children are welcome to attend as long as they do not disturb the performers or members of the audience.

Now its time to drop the kids of At home and have a little fun on your own. Greeley estates is playing At the basement with Vanna, Tides of man and Bullet for pretty boy . they are a post-hardcore band from Phoenix, Arizona.- http://www.myspace.com/greeleyestates, Vanna is a post-hardcore band from Boston, MA. http://www.myspace.com/vanna  Tides of Man is a progressive, indie rock band from Tampa, Fl  http://www.myspace.com/tidesofman and A Bullet For Pretty Boy- Founded in late 2006 about two hours east of Dallas in the town of Longview, Texas- http://www.arteryrecordings.com/abfpb.html

Hardcore music not your thing?  Then come out  to Mojos  and support the Nurture the Creative Mind Foundation as they host the BEST open mic in Ogden. ALL musicians, poets, singers, MCs etc are welcomed and wanted. There Will be no featured artist this month instead we are just having a completely OPEN mic. So shake off those nerves and show Ogden your talents.

Now to end the night there's nothing better than a glass of wine  and some blues music.Harper and mid-west kind are playing at the wine cellar just for you. an amalgamation of blues, rock, funk, soul and world music, Australian singer/ songwriter "Harper" creates a heady mix of roots/ jam music through his creative use of the harp, and the haunting drone of the didgeridoo. Borrowing from western and world music, this musical visionary develops a highly original take on the roots genre. For further information check out Harper's website: www.harper.biz

Get out there, have fun , make a new friend and try something new. and as always be safe!
