 Monday:recaps, movies, art and whoopie at 9:09 AMFriday i attended a cheese making class at the union station fermentation which was awesome! We learned how to make mozzarella and ricotta from home ( it is quick and easy!) and we got to try and take home a ton of beehive cheese and local sheep cheese. For only $20 bucks this class is definitely worth it and i am so excited to say that i will be teaching a kombucha class soon so stay tuned! You can also purchase a hard or soft cheese kit for only $25 bucks or so that includes EVERYTHING you need (except milk) for 30 batches of cheese. Saturday hunter and i biked over to oasis community garden for the rummage sale and pancake breakfast hosted by the junior league of Ogden. Hunter made a new friend and we heard some great tunes too. After, we biked downtown for the wild west shoot out, train rides, horse rides, stage coach rides, farmers market, petting zoo and more. I got old fashioned popping corn (that you have to take off the cob first) from Roberts family farms which was amazing! I also got some basil and pink lemonade and hunter donated her $1 allowance to big brother/big sister of Utah. For sweet treats we got one of vintage cupcakes "pink ladies" and a scoop of ice cream from Trudy's poppin' johnny ice cream. After all the fun i was exhausted but i still had to go home and shower before baking some Mac n cheese with squash and peppers and 6 different cheeses for a friends 30th birthday. It was nice to relax after a busy day but i wasn't done yet! Midway between the party i got to duck out and attend the whoopie girl art unveiling at the imagine ballet theater. Seeing the rodeo queens and all the girls dressed at whoopie girls was fantastic, i love costumes. We enjoyed dinner and great conversation and they even had little cake pops that looked like cowgirl hats. After the meal imagine ballet dancers entertained us with a beautiful and fun ballet tribute to the whoopie girl. On my way back to the party i got caught in a thunderstorm but it felt nice to not be hot and sweaty. I got to hang out some more and watch my daughter chase peoples dogs around and eat cake. Finally the night was over and i slept like i h  ave never slept before. Thursday: Last nights recap and todays adventures too! at 9:18 AM Wow was last night AMAZING. I went to the basement to check out "we are the willows" and was blown away. Not only is this feller as polite as daises but he has a unique voice that well, you just have to hear. The best i can do is to say his voice is a cross between a singing coyote and a siren ( the mermaid kind that is). Stay tuned for my full review later today/tonight! In the meantime check out his tour diary and website for tunes. After the show i headed over to the Sand Trap for some Karaoke with my good pal chelsi, her always entertaining hubby and their lovely friend Jordan who's voice is Amazing. It was loads of fun, there was lots of dancing involved and as usual the cheezy fries were finger lickin' good.Come on folks, there is a lot of amazing stuff happening here in Ogden, ya just have to go. Who knows, you make a new friend. monday: art, movies, punk shows and teeth at 9:29 AM Mondays are one of those days i could do without. Monday means the weekends over , my hubby has to go back to work and the girl child must unlearn all the bad habits shes acquired the past couple days. However the upside of Monday is that the week starts anew and you have a full 7 days to make something awesome happen. Oh yes! before i forget, the local first fundraiser/ local brew fest was amazing! the music was great, the food delish and the brews were the best i have ever had. If you are interested in brewing your own beer, soda or even making cheese check out the union station fermentation on historic 25th! This week my goal is to take great photos of some of my shoes and vintage dresses to sell on EBAY to raise the last of the funds for my wisdom teeth removal. I shouldn't be too hard, trough the benefit and my own funds we have raised all but $120-$200 of it; I am still unsure on the final price as it depends on how bad my teeth are impacted. I have officially decided to go to SLC to get them removed at the DR.Wisdom teeth place. As much as i love supporting local there just is not a dentist that i can afford here. None of the low income clinics can accommodate the severity of my teeth and i do not reach the weight minimum for the medical study. But this magical place in SLC has the cheapest wisdom teeth removal i have seen and half the price of any estimate i have ever gotten, $900 for all 4 teeth! I am excited and nervous but i really can not wait to have it over with. ITS SUMMER! Wednesday 6/8 in OGDEN! at 10:52 AM I am pretty sure it is finally safe to say it is summer. right? right? well, it better be! I just finished spending 5 hours ( ye s 5 hours!!) scouring the web for events and updating indie Ogden's calendar. I found a lot of hidden events that i have no idea where happening so there no excuse to say you are bored this summer. seriously, Ogden rocks. Today is Wednesday the day of the week that explodes events. I will be keeping VERY busy today doing a photo shoot of the very best picnic spots in Ogden with the lovely Raychel from . Later i will be heading over to the Pre-vintage prom pinup party at vintage cupcakes and the psy-chi open house at borrowed earth. whew! There is a lot happening today so take yer pick! WSU events: WSU football will host the Mac’s Kids Camp for students age 7 through grade 8, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Weber State football practice field, $100 (includes lunch), 801-626-7063. WSU’s Department of Performing Arts presents Jazz at the Station, 7 p.m., Union Station (2501 Wall Ave., Ogden), free, weber.edu/performingarts/ or 801-626-6431. (Well-behaved children are welcome.) 3pm Wild Wednesdays at Ogden nature center: Learn about the many cool mammals that live in Utah and the Great Basin region. Touch skulls and pelts and learn what makes mammals unique. Learn why you're a mammal! Finally, take a walk one of our naturalists and observe live deer and possibly other mammals that call the Ogden Nature Center home.
