Wednesday: karoake, wild things and art house at 8:59 PM


Its Wednesday and today i am bringing you 2 posts because i love you, dear readers. Also there are some rad events and i didn't want you to miss out.
I feel like i have been neglecting y'all lately, what's new with you? Is that a new shirt? Did you get a new haircut? Y'all are looking especially dapper lately!
I know i know, i have been so busy lately but i promise I will always post for you and starting next week so will about 5 other people all with different backgrounds in awesomeness. I cant wait to introduce them all and i am excited that Chelsi Archibald and Jeff Dillon have already joined the indie Ogden crew! hmm....i think matching jackets are in my future. Thursday: karaoke. open mic and schmoozing at 9:17 AM


Yesterday was awesome. I went in a picnic at municipal park and watched Dan Weldon sing some songs, i got all my errands done by bike ( is there any other way when its sunny out?) , i ate guava Popsicles in my yard and i ended the night at the sand trap singing karaoke with friends. yeah, summer pwns winter.

This week is turning out to be quite amazing and i am excited for all the things coming up. Tonight there is a ton going on Tomorrow is the fire in the skies CD release party and lots of other rad events and Saturday i am going on the weekend show again and you will be kept plenty busy with all of the shows and events happening that weekend.

Oh whats that?? You've never heard the weekend show? well, i most certainly WILL tell you about it. The weekend show is a Weber FM radio delight. Featuring local music and some lesser known rad jams the weekend show will have you laughing and dancing in no time. Hosted by Jared Christensen, hoagie bear, DJ AJ and tons of fun local guests too. If you love to hear new music and you want to know about local artists you simply must tune into 88.1 Weber FM Saturdays from noon-2! I will have more about these guys later on so stay tuned and check out my post from my last visit on the weekend show HERE.

Wednesday: karaoke, survival camp and lots of free events! at 9:37 AM

If you read this blog than you know that my favorite day of the week is not Saturday oh no no no, it is Wednesday. Wednesday is like the midweek Saturday for me, there are always a ton of events happening and plenty of deals going on. Wednesdays i like to wake up a bit early before the babe wakes up, enjoy a french press coffee and watch ridiculous videos on YouTube. ahhh yes, Wednesdays are the BEST.
Now in order to properly enjoy a Wednesday in Ogden Utah you must actually get outside, if you look out the window you will see it is SUNNY! i don't want to jinx it but i think it is definitely summer, and i have the sandal tan to prove it.
Before i let you know the ins and out of the day i want to remind you that i have a giveaway happening and it is awesome. Evening shoe-Abraxas:

Release your inner rockstar at the sandtrap for karaoke with Jackson the karaoke dude!

Ogden independent film society meetup:
meet at uncommon grounds on historic 25th for some film talk! this is the Independent Film Society's last meet right before the 48hr. film challenge.

Weekly evening hikes
:
meetup with other local outdoors lovers and try out a new trail! check out the meetup page for the details on where the weekly hike will take place!

Library events:
ultimutt readathon:
Children are invited to practice reading skills by sharing a book with a therapy dog. This event is held every Wednesday in June, 2011. Registration is required. Call 801-337-2639 to sign up.
Movie at the library:
Inception:This movie is part of the Best of 2010 film series at the Pleasant Valley Branch Library.

Brewskis:
It's open jam night at brewskis so bring yer guitar, your harmonica, your hula hoops and yer dancing shoes and strut yer stuff!

The Ogden Local Music Awareness Coalition presents:
MUSIC BUSINESS SEMINAR Topic: Selling Tickets - A Proven Method Presented By: Ben Gabrielsen, guitarist of Gunfight Fever. Cost: FREE to all Ogden LMAC Delegates, $5 for everyone else. There will be free food while it lasts, so get there early. Event Description:
