Indie Ogden is takign off! at 10:19 AMHello dear readers, i do hope you enjoyed the little Monday mixer. I loved exchanging blog posts with the lovely mama at le dulce vita and it was fun learning all about Savannah from a locals perspective. A good portion of my life was lived in Georgia from FT.Benning to Richmond Hill and scattered in between. Savannah is such an amazing town filled with great artists and great bands and it's definitely worth it to visit. There has been such a great response from the guest blog post and the local spotlight that it is now going to be a weekly gig but not on the same day. Local spotlights will continue on Monday and guest blog posts (which will mostly be local bloggers) will be on Thursdays starting next week so keep and eye out! If you'd like to be featured on our local spotlight OR if you're a local blogger and want to showcase your writing on indie Ogden email me at bryanandmikki@gmail.com. Tuesday Today is a beautiful day and there isn't much snow on the ground so get your galoshes on and head out for a walk, a hike or bike ride. In the spirit of enjoying nature i encourage everyone to attend the Wasatch Audubon societies monthly meeting. Speakers Lynn de Freitas, Executive Director of the Friends of the Great Salt Lake (FOGSL) and Rob Dubuc, President of the FOGSL Board, will present Friends of the Great Salt Lake Advocacy Activities for Protection of the Great Salt Lake, a discussion of the current status of issues impacting the Great Salt Lake, especially the proposed Great Salt Lake Mineral expansion. 7:00 PM at the Ogden Nature Center (966 W 12th). And after a relaxing day what better way to get out all your excess energy by joining in heavy metal karaoke at brewskis, unleash your inner metal head and rock out ! Have you all checkout out the ROCK BEATS SCISSORS? its a local online radio show that's all about music. you can send in questions and suggestions and get the inside scoop on great music. check out their FACEBOOK page for more or listen here now.
