To be honest I was tickled pink when asked to guest blog on indie Ogden the beauty of blogging and readers is the ability to connect with people regardless of the geographical location. The beauty of the Internet is how close we all are... and how we are all branches of the same tree. I now will begin to introduce you to my city. The one that has captured my heart and soul.
The place I call... Home.
Savannah, GA located in the south-east coastal area of the US is a metropolitan, chic and industrial place and many have yet to make that connection. Not only we are blessed with the most delightful of weather and endless canopies of Spanish Moss that seem to drip off the majestic oaks but art, fashion and music are well and alive in my neck of the woods. Yes, Paula Deen is from this neck of the woods but there is so much more...

Fashion?
Marc by Marc Jacobs
322 W. Broughton Street
Savannah, Georgia 31401
A gorgeous store located in the historic district. There you will also find the visually stimulating Paris Market, Many restaurants and galleries a weekend is not enough time.

Food?
For casual dining with the family the newest kid on the block is named The Green Truck. Mason jars dome the lights hanging above the simple concrete bar that seats at least 10. Two and four top tables and booths seat about 40 in the dining area. In the middle a jukebox. The restaurant whips up its own pickles, ketchup and veggie patties and proudly plugs a list of its regional ingredients, such as grass-fed beef from Hunter Cattle Co. in Brooklet and coffee from Savannah's own Perc Coffee Roasters. The pub also serves a long list of bottled and canned beers. Its wine list has a dozen choices, at least one each of your basic reds and whites and all of which you can order by the bottle or glass.

Music?
How about some surf punk and rockabilly form local band Free Candy at The LiveWire Music Hall.

So there you go Ogden...
I hope I have inspired you to venture out to my city and hope you found the tiny taste of Savannah sweet.
