The power of community! at 11:26 AMWhat an amazing night. how refreshing it was to see a room packed full of people in a municipal building. I have to admit it was by far they longest meeting i have ever been to but damn was it worth it. With great excitement and pride i am happy to say that the city council has unanimously overturned they mayors veto and passed they anti-discrimination ordinance protecting gay and transgendered people fro discrimination is the workplace and in housing. A big thank you to PRIDE in Utah and everyone who spread they word about this very important issue and rallied together to support our community. A big thank you to the city council members for all of your hard work and for sticking through this meeting and making the right and just decision. Be sure to write they city council and thank them for passing this monumental ordinance and making Ogden the 12th city in Utah to pass the anti-discrimination ordinance. It is times like these that i feel thankful for being an Ogden resident, you have truly made me proud to call Ogden my home.Today we should all celebrate, celebrate life and freedom, celebrate Ogden and friends, celebrate the power of community. ♥Brewskis- open mic night- get up on stage and strut your stuff! Love it.BTW, I'm trying to put together a Blogger Get-Together in Ogden, but since I'm in Logan, I don't have the slightest idea of where to do it at. I've had suggestions to do it someplace on 25th, but I don't know! Haha... Could you give me some suggestions?? I'm thinking around the second weekend in April. Thanks!!
