My associate and I actually enjoyed reading this blog post, I used to be simply itching to know do you trade featured posts? I'm at all times trying to find someone to make trades with and merely thought I'd ask.

Tuesday in ogden utah: tattoos, puppies and metal at 10:37 AM

its Tuesday and although the clouds say otherwise its a perfect day to get out and enjoy Ogden, UT. I've been feeling under the weather lately and i think i may have finally over exerted myself enough to cause my immune system to revolt. I will be taking it easy today, watching cheesy 80's cartoons and trying to convince my body that i do indeed deserve to be well.

On another note i am looking for a place to get a new tattoo. I got some birthday tattoo dough and i have been craving another tattoo for a long time. I am excited to finally get my 'yellena art' inspired tattoo. I have a budget and i know what i want the problem is i have never gotten a tattoo in Ogden. where to go? ideas? I'd love to document my tattoo experience and blog about it so if your a tattoo artists in town send me your info so i can start making a decision!

before i tell you the couple rad events happening tonight i want to encourage you to take a look at the black dog project here in Utah. Black dogs are the last the be adopted the first to the euthanized . Black dog syndrome is a known problem among shelters, people opt out of adopting black dogs because of the stigma surrounding larger black dogs. The truth is every animal that is in a shelter needs a home no matter what size or color. They are afraid, confused and just want to be loved. So, if you are in the market for a pet and happen ti find yourself at a shelter please take a second look at that black dog, he may just be your new best friend.

Ogden city oylers game
The Oylers are having a scrimmage tonight at Friendship Park in South Ogden over by Ogden Regional Hospital. The game will start around 7:30. check out thier facebook for more! https://www.facebook.com/ogdencityoylers

"The Trials of Darryl Hunt" Free Screening
The ACLU of Utah, Peery's Egyptian Theater, and the Center for Diversity and Unity at Weber State present a free screening of "The Trials of Darryl Hunt.Spanning two decades, this powerful documentary chronicles a brutal 1984 rape/murder case in North Carolina and the wrongful conviction of then 19-year-old Darryl Hunt for that crime. Despite multiple trials and DNA testing that proved his innocence, Darryl spent nearly 20 years in prison before being fully exonerated. At once a moving human drama and a scathing social commentary,"The Trials of Darryl Hunt" reveals the insidious way racism still pervades American culture and our criminal-justice system. This chilling look at a life stolen and eventually redeemed defies our presumption that all Americans have the right to unbiased justice and exposes the need for judicial reforms to prevent other wrongful convictions. This event is free of charge and open to the public

Ryan at Vicious Ink did mine (which was just "Amen" in Hebrew) but he also does all of my sister's, brother's, and sister-in-law's tattoos, and they have done chest pieces and sleeves and all that kinds of stuff and they look amazing. I would highly recommend him! They are on Riverdale Road in South Ogden.

Adventuring in ogden utah at 11:31 AM

Yesterday was my birthday and despite the feelings of impending doom, my sickness that spread through the family and the sporadic weather... i managed to have an amazing day. We stopped in Kaffe Mercantile for a pick me up latte before our hike up the hill to Taylor canyon trails for a birthday picnic. It was so much fun tromping around and taking silly pictures that we almost forgot to have our picnic. After a quick bite we were off again to pick some sage and find cool rocks but as the day wore on the weather looked like it was take a turn for the worst so off to fresh market we went to pick up mint chocolate ice cream and ingredients for strawberry shortcake. The weather cleared up after all and the short walk back home ended up being incredibly beautiful, truly a perfect day.

If you have yet to explore Ogden's amazing trails and pathways go to http://weberpathways.org/ and see what is near you. Ogden, Utah is literally a wonderland of outdoor fun. With access to hiking biking, kayaking, rock climbing and so much more it's no wonder they call this place "a playground for adrenaline junkies:". If you have yet to explore your city you are truly missing out. The weather is clearing up and getting warmer and everything is blooming so what better time to get outdoors!

Have a wonderful day and be sure to check out indie Ogden's other outlets for more events and first dibs on giveaways!
