With spring and summer comes amazing local foods and a few groups are trying to get everyone exited about eating local. Edible Wasatch and Local first Utah have some great resources on how to find local foods, restaurants that cook locally and some fun events to get you jazzes about sustainable eating. Edible Wasatch is even hosting a bike powered treasure hunt for local food this weekend in SLC. fun! today is a beautiful day so i suggest you get on some comfy shoes and go explore Ogden. Check out harvest health foods for some local and organic foods, Grounds for coffee has local treats and plants that support a good cause, Roosters and MacCools use local cheese in their foods and local brewed beers and downtown is all local businesses!

Wild Flower Hikes:
We’ll hike for about 3 hours with frequent stops to look at/look up wild flowers. Hikes will be at various locations in and around Ogden Valley. Bring flower guide book if you have one. Outings are weekly on Wednesday’s at 9:am from May 18 - June 15.

Wild Wednesdays Presents "Endangered in Utah" at the Ogden Nature Center:
With the help of Des Ta Te our bald eagle and Laser our desert tortoise discover what it means to be an endangered species. Learn what causes animals and plants to become endangered and what you can do to help. Meet in the Visitor's Center.Event information provided by Ogden Nature Center.

Ogden "independent film society" meetup:
another meet for filmies is in order Wednesday June 1st., let all film peeps of Utah unite at uncommon grounds (cafe mergot).. . Everyone is welcome- 6pm

Lighthouse sports bar presents:
Brett turner-he music of Brett Turner has something most musicians only dream of.
