Local spotlight- Mermaid baby at 9:23 PM

I am so amazed by the talent of the teenagers here in Utah. Is is the desert air, the salt and honey or something alien that makes them so ambitious? I do not know but i am certain that many of them are going far.
One band i have been keeping tabs on recently is Mermaid baby. Mermaid baby Are regulars at the local indie venues here in Ogden. Playing danceable surf pop their songs conjures up memories of summer adventures and first loves and are winning over the hearts and feet of Utah. They are currently working on their debut c-d so keep an ear out for more about mermaid baby. You can get updates on their upcoming show on their FACEBOOK and sample some of their music on their MYSPACE.
I recently sent these boys a few questions so you could get to know them just a little bit better. I wanted to meet them in person but having just contracted a mild version of the plague i thought it best not to infect them and squelch their chances of releasing a c-d. So alas i had to do the email version. read on be sure to check out their music too.
Who are the band members?
Jordan Ballou-Guitar/Vocals
Logan Arnold-Bass
Edward DeLaCruz-Drums

How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
A lot! We use to be super shy onstage, now we dance and get crazy. We've also found the sound we are set on creating.
