Wednesday! Yoga, Chess Club, Nature Journaling, Gang Prevention at 11:14 AMHey you! Happy Wednesday! I know that we only had one day of work so far this week, but I'm still happy we're half way through. It's been insane. I happen to run an After School program through the fantastic national organization 4H and I'm also a volunteer for the amazing work that Nurture The Creative Mind is doing with youth in our community. Needless to say, I work with some of the best kids on planet earth. That's why I'm so passionate about the impact of youth programming in our community of Ogden. Tonight and tomorrow night, there will be the 2011 Northern Utah Gang & Youth Violence Conference here in Ogden. They will be discussing things like the impact of gangs on our community & a prisoner's family, Ogden's real-time gang monitor and gang prevention programs available to take part in. Not only will this be informative, but it will be key in helping our youth avoid gangs and tough choices like drug use and preventing violence. The conference will be held at the Ogden Megaplex Theatre, 2351 Kiesel Ave. Ogden, Utah. The conference will run from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. each day. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:00 A.M. Parking is free. But that's not all! There is so much MORE happening in Ogden today! It's like an adventure smorgasbord!
