Wednesday-Karaoke, jazz and dancing at 10:55 AM


!Its beautiful out thank goodness, i was starting to feel like i was in Portland again! Today is Wednesday and there is plenty to do in Ogden, Utah. Today i might be going thrifting for some vintage wares for my house then off to get crafty with some lovely mamas. One of these days i will make it to the country dance at the union station! I love to country dance ( yes it is true) but i just cant convince anyone to go with me. sigh.... so i have to work on my nerve to go stag. Perhaps ill bedazzle a dress shirt today to prepare...

3: Ogden nature center:Meet Pueo the short-eared owl and learn about the wetlands that he calls home. Play a wetland game and then with the help of one of our naturalist venture out on the Nature Center's trails to look for signs of wildlife in and around our ponds. Meet in the Visitor's Center.

5: Karaoke at the SAND TRAP : Join the SandTrap every Wednesday for Karaoke With Jackson the Karaoke dude!

6:INDEPENDENT FILM SOCIETY meet-up: once again local film artist will meet., once again they shall join the 'Independent Film Society' in Ogden on Wednesdays.uncommon grounds is not leaving like once thought but simply changing their name to 'Cafe Mergot' and adding espresso and smoke shop.So please, come meet with your fellow filmmakers, actors, artists, etc. at the regular time and place to discuss, network, and just casually hang around your fellow filmies. All are welcome.!!!

7:Jazz at the library. Pleasant Valley Branch,1988 - Rated R Clint Eastwood directed this exhilarating biopic about the troubled life and career of jazz musician, Charlie "Bird" Parker. The film won many honors including the Academy Award for best sound. Food and beverages are not permitted in the black box theater. Enjoy the show!

8:30-Country dance at the union station: There are all kinds of Swing Dancin’, Two-Steppin’, and Line Dancin’. You’ll also see people doing the Country Waltz, the Cowboy Cha Cha, the Night Club Two-Step, the Tripple Step, the West Coast Swing and plenty of other kinds of dancing. So come out and give it a whirl! We know you will love every minute.Lesson $4, includes the dancing until midnight.9pm-midnight $5
